Healthcare Refurbishment Contractors to Haden Vale Medical Practice
Welcome to the project page for the Haden Vale Medical Practice and thank you for showing an interest.
Based on the corner of Barrs Road and Corngreaves Road in Cradley Heath, the Medical Practice is a thriving part of the community, though it was obvious that more space was needed. For some time now Dr Samuel Aruchuna Muthuveloe and Ian Bird of HDA Architects have worked tirelessly to get the project to where we are now.
As head of new business development at Cameron Butcher Group Ltd, I know that the whole team is extremely happy to be part of the project, and we are all excited to be involved in what should be an enjoyable build.
As Healthcare Refurbishment Contractors this is an area we have specialised in for some time, and with all trades under one roof including our team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, we anticipate that the project will go to the program devised.
The project consists of building a single storey extension attached to the existing building on the North East elevation, projecting into part of the carpark.
The building will house three additional and much-needed consultation rooms and a utility area.
As healthcare contractors we have encountered pretty well all challenges we are likely to come across in the construction industry, though every project has its unique features or challenges to overcome.
With this particular build, the sloping ground where the new building sits requires additional resources regarding both manpower and machinery to get down to the level required, but that simply makes the job more interesting rather than problematical, and out of interest we will publish how much dirt is removed.
The work is programmed to take approximately 24 weeks.
When working on a project like this, we are always aware that we are moving into your neighbourhood and are mindful of the surrounding properties and the people that live in them. We would like to assure everyone that Health & Safety is of paramount importance to us and all measures will be taken to keep the site safe and the surrounding environment clean and free from site debris and dust.
Should you wish to contact us for any reason regarding the project, the working environment or Health & Safety, please do so on the above number or email address below.
Access to the Surgery and Pharmacy
The main car park directly adjacent to the surgery will be closed from 29th August. Until then, please use the car park across Tromans Close which will remain open and available for parking while the refurbishment is underway.
Access to the surgery and pharmacy will be marked with clear directions, and a protected walkway erected for your safety and convenience.
Healthcare Refurbishment Contractors – Project updates and important dates.
August – We are contracted to start work in August with the first weeks work to include setting up site cabins and welfare facilities. There is electrical work to be carried out too.
September – with the site prelims in place (toilet, office and canteen), and fencing erected, we were able to start digging out for the concrete slab and foundations. See the gallery for the latest pictures of this primary care refurbishment.
Early November – With work well underway, the foundations are in place and the beam and block floor laid. Pictures are available in the gallery.
28th November – There’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes that no one gets to see. Redirecting the rain water and waste pipes is such a job and has been a challenging part of the project. With everything now in place, we can progress quickly with the project and it won’t be long before we are ready to put the roof on.
